Sheet Storage ideas?

Post by classicdaily »

Does anyone have any good ideas for movable sheet storage? I am thinking of building or buying a cart to have my stock in a bit better organization.

Post pics and ideas!

You could do a multi-tear trailer with a roller up front for ease of moving.

My envisioned design will be to find a shipping container with side doors and sliding shelves for each material gauge. Pick up horizontal sheets with spreader bar and trolley to table.

Here's a couple of vids for ideas:

I have been trying to figure out a solution for my shop too. I was thinking about a vertical rack on a u-boat type cart. (Think big box stores material cart with taller wheels in the middle and casters at both ends). Was thinking 18-20 wide with 4 slots. Mainly for 1/4 and under. Anything heavier doesn't need wheels. I don't anticipate stocking more than 1-2 sheets in any size. Only concern is tipping it over being that narrow.
