I'm new at this and trying to dial my table in and I keep losing my stencil letters ? Also my files that have thin lines
I cut right thru them? I've slowed cut down, played with Kerf width. I'm just not sure any help would be appreciated ?

Re: What is kerf width ?
Kerf width is the amount of material the plasma removes when it makes it cut. It is based on the machine, the material type & thickness, cut speed, amps and the type of nozzles. For Hypertherm cutters there is a chart in the manual.
Imagine a circular saw with different width blades. If you make a cut, some of the wood turns into sawdust.

Re: What is kerf width ?
The kerf width on my plasma cutter is .035" so I offset .0175" which is half and makes your cut right on the line. You'll have to design your projects accordingly and I make my bridges on lettering at least .100" wide so they don't fall out or bend when finishing.
