Steel Prices on the Rise Again
Steel prices are starting to rise again. With low mill inventory, and the price of scrap rising. Sheet and Plate price are going up. Now may be a good time to purchase steel, if your inventory is low, and you have the money to spend before the end of the year. We will probably be seeing higher prices than back in 2018. As you make your Christmas orders, remember that the material you are cutting now, will cost a lot more in 2021.

Hard to tell what will happen, Biden will probably pull the tariffs off if he gets a chance. It's a guessing game right now. I'm running into a availability problem with some materials...... Especially 5083 and 5086 H116 Aluminum

I wasn't trying to make any political statements. Just wanted fellow members to understand that any steel they may have in stock is worth 20 cent more per pound today, than a couple of months ago. Don't get surprised when you order your next stock order. Increase your prices today!

Whats everyone paying right now out of curiosity? Im in Idaho and just bought 14000 pounds of 10 gauge and 3/16 for .50 per pound. That was much cheaper than what the competitor quoted me. They wanted somewhere around .60 per pound.

Sheet and Plate prices are now at a record level of high prices. Just this week, prices have surpassed the 2008 level. Sheet and Plate has gone up over 28cents per pound ($28.00 CWT) since early October.

I talked to my buddy yesterday and he said this week he ordered sheet steel and it had gone up nearly .25 cents lb within the last couple weeks from what he normally pays. Sheesh.
