Anchoring table?
I have a 4' x 4' table with a water tray. It is NOT bolted to the floor. When the machine is cutting, you can see the water move and feel the table move a bit. Is it common to anchor the legs to the floor???

Re: Anchoring table?
Question is your table bolted together or welded?

Re: Anchoring table?
I have a 4 x 8 table with water. Mine is home build with many extra supports added compared the PPLC plans which makes it very heavy. I have large diameter locking castors. Even when locked I see some movement but not so much is causes issues.

Re: Anchoring table?
Imo some movement could be a good thing to allow the motion to act as a shock absorber (which is coupled to the mass of the table) for rapid acceleration and deceleration jerk and jolt m/s^3
where as a rigid assembly has no where to go
YMMV, each to their own as there are many ways to look at this but probably no right way... Go with what you think is right.

put up some pics and we can get a better idea of whats going on, you may need some X bracing or gussets to cure the problem.
