Hello, I'm Roy. I am working with a client that bought a Gofab table. After much frustration I finally got the table to work but now I have a problem with the gcode on the Gofab software. I can open the gcode but it shows up as an individual letter from a word. For example, if I create an SVG in Inkscape saying the word test, when I convert it to gcode and send it to the table I see the word test but can only move each individual letter to the table to cut. I cannot move the whole word. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

Welcome aboard Roy. In Inkscape with text - try using the Path, Object to Path tool to convert the text to vectors. Then you can edit and save as svg. If you have done this and the letters are separate, then perhaps use "Path. Combine" to combine the individual letters together.

Thanks for the help. It works as I need but when I open the cut file on Gofab's software it will only let me move each letter individually still. Thoughts?

What was the solution?

I will know more when I go to cut a file but from what I have tried so far on the tablet I had to deselect Auto Parts Discovery.
