New!
Good afternoon! I am new to plasmaspider, new to CNC plasma, so I am looking forward to diving into all the information I see is available on this forum. I am a plant manager by day, and weld (TIG/MIG, steel, aluminum, s.s., anything) on the side for fun and extra cash. I decided to give a CNC plasma table a try to make things in the garage that I might need and then of course signs and whatever else. I just finished assembling a langmuir crossfire pro. Plasma cutter is the Hypertherm 45xp. I am trialing the Hypertherm pronest lt, and hope to see some sparks this weekend. My air setup should be cobbled together this weekend until I figure out what all I am going to do for an actual system. for now I have an upright IR 60 gallon compressor, and have a harbor freight air dryer. I would like to add the rapid air hardline setup also.... but I want to get this running now and add later.

Re: New!
Welcome aboard DW! Those Langmuir tables are first rate - I have heard nothing but praise for the crossfire pro. That 45xp is top of the mark as well. With the Duramax torch, those FineCut consumables come in pretty handy for cutting the thinner stuff- 10 ga. and thinner. I'll bet you are pretty excited to do your first cuts. Let us know how it works out.

Re: New!
Be sure to put a permanent air gauge directly at the inlet of your 45xp. Many have found more than 25 PSI difference from the tank discharge and the inlet of the actual plasma cutter. if you get below around 85-90 PSI at the cutter, your plasma cutter will stop firing and the torch will keep moving, Even though the tank pressure might say 100 PSI. FYI.. Have Fun!DynamicWelding wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 1:21 pm Good afternoon!
