New in AZ

Post by Bishop »

Hello, I am new to this site and to plasma CNC cutting. I found a good deal on a plasma table and thought I would try it out. First order of business will be installing a THC. Looking forward to the learning process!

Welcome aboard! I am in Tucson, so not too far apart. What kind of table did you buy, and what software are you using to run it and for your cad/cam? Which plasma cutter are you using?

Plasma table is an older protortch table with running mach3 and sheetcam with a thermal dynamics a60. Anyone have any recommendations for the thc?

This forum is great. I have learned so much already

That's one I have not heard of before. Perhaps you could post some photos of your setup. I like Mach3 and am using it with my Avid CNC Pro 4848 router table. It uses Warp9 with ethernet connection. Since you have Mach3, that is a huge bonus for you as it will allow you to run Scanything to do automatic tracing of templates, parts, etc. and pull them into your computer as dxf files. I use it with my Mach3 table and the total cost is under $200 including software, camera, lamp, and cables.

I have included some additional links above which may be helpful.
