Remote Control for Any Plasma Table

Post by Granite »

This is the best $20 upgrade I've ever made. Just plug in the USB dongle and it auto installs. I keep it in a zipper bag when using it, about the only clean item near my table. (Power switch is still easy to access when its in the bag)

Found it on Amazon. Been using it for a few months now. (Also works great on my Smart TV) Scroll to bottom for video.

Here is a short video demo. https://youtu.be/fVMtoplbjss

I know it works with Ubuntu (a free OS running on the Linux kernal).

I have same one on my command cnc, works well. Need to figure out more keyboard shortcuts to do things like change from continuous jog to step and a few other things would be nice. I mostly just use mine for finding corner of sheet.

Yes, it has a dongle that plugs directly into your CNC computer USB port.

The keyboard communicates directly with the dongle, WIFI is not necessary.

I can't make mine work, it does toggle different tabs on the screen but no movement on the table at all?

Does your CNC use a Windows or Linux computer with a standard keyboard? If so, you should be able to perform all functions with your remote keyboard, the same way you are using your primary keyboard. In fact they work simultaneously.

Open Notepad or some other application outside of your CNC controller and type a word to confirm your remote keyboard is functioning. Keep your primary keyboard plugged in. You should be able to use both at the same time. Type a few lines of text then use your arrow keys to navigate your cursor.

I can type in numbers and stuff on notepad, but still no movement whatsoever on the table, there's nothing to change on the settings etc?

try clicking on the NumLock key once (on your normal keyboard) then try the keypad
there is a guy who has a video out showing how to synchronize a remote keypad to transfer command keys to the remote.

Have you tried it on a different computer? Perhaps they shipped you one with some bad keys.

This is basically a wireless keyboard. It should work with anything that would interface with a standard keyboard.
