Bits and pieces

Post by Improvise »

Still fairly new to this but have received a lot of help from various members on this forum which has been greatly appreciated. These are just of the some pieces that I have done since getting the machine back in Feb.

Thanks fellas! Hoping some more customers think the same as its been a fairly quiet start so far! Everyone likes to talk the talk about supporting local businesses and not buying Chinese, but few seem to actually do it!

Hopefully word of mouth will help the quality is there and sales will follow, do you have facebook there. I don't use it myself it seem many do for sales of the products. Another thing here is Craig'slist for selling all kinds of things. I have sold Plasma CNC tables, I just sold a sand blasting cabinet, many thing under "for sale by owner". You could look into personal Monograms, weathervanes, a member from Ireland seems to have sold many there.
How about Aussie flags there seems to be a good market for American flags here :Like Use the search function here for posted DXF files there are some great one up for grabs, collage Icons, sports teams, beer signs, man cave things.

Not sure if your running a business or DIY shop as a side hustle for extra coins. I have cut the parts and built different tools and sold them for that reason. Here is a 2'X72" knife grinder I built 3 and sold 2 of them. Might give a Idea or 2. :HaHa :HaHa

Tom - that's a nice looking sander! Fun to build and some extra income to boot. I agree that Craigslist can be a good avenue to pursue for selling tools and other items. I recently sold one of my Plasmacam tables I had advertised on Craigslist. I have mainly sold car parts with Craigslist, but I see many other items there as well. Also Etsy looks promising, although there is lots of competition as far as metal art goes.

Nice belt sander Tom. I have always wanted to build one but never got around to it. My father in law has nice 72x2" Burr King I can use when I need otherwise I likely would have done it by now.
