Hodge Podge.

Post by cstroke »

Been messing around lately with hybrid parts. What I'm doing is cutting with plasma powdercoating after clean up and then ripping the powdercoat off with a laser, then re clear coating.
Parts are for a desk at a parts counter. I fabricated the top as well.
Anyhow..
1/8" aluminum diamond plate was most of the materials used, along with some 1/4" aluminum for a backer part.

Very nice work! What sort of laser are you using to burn the paint off?

Do you attach it to your cnc plasma table to use?
Thanks,

No it's a stand alone machine.
I bought it to add to my business.
Wife is retiring in a few years and am hoping she can generate enough income with this from a day or 2 a week to pay for health benefits.

That's a nice looking machine. What would I have to pay to buy one? I checked the website, but no pricing.
Thanks,
David

With all the bells and whistles you'd be under 20k.. I bought mine right before they offered servos( you can still get with steppers but speed is slower obviously).
Keep in mind this is the bigger one, and you can get more entry level smaller tubes etc... This is an HP which means I can cut metal with it too.

Nice! How thick steel will it cut? Or is it only for aluminum? Pretty sweet machine!
