I made this for some friends, a 24" long silhouette of a Striped Seaperch, 16 gauge sandwiched, inner layer done with Copper FX (from SteelFX, thanks Bill!), coated with Spray Max Gloss and topped with reflective glass beads, outside layer done with Perma Blue and Spray Max. Hopefully the Spray Max will hold off the rust. Any recommendations for an alternative direct to metal clear coat?

I have no recommendation for a clear coat, but your finished product looks great to me!

I use Frog Juice sunscreen 7000 clear. Aerosol or quart. stands up very well. I clear coat vinyl signs with it. Go on Superfrog.com for more info. have used it for over 20 years.

Thanks for the tip! I will definitely check it out. I went to Superfrog.com and could find no store there to purchase. A google search turned up the source below.
