Entry Gate

Post by sagreen83 »

Just finished this project for our gate. The gate was already there. I cut the steel, welded the ring, cut the gate, and welded in the insert.

The insert is 40" tall x 79" wide.

What would a person charge a customer for something like this?

Thanks for your input,
Scott...

Scott - I would say $500-600 minimum. How many hours do you have in it, and what was your materials cost?

With remote welding, painting etc. I would be at around $1200 + for this.
Nice job.

I have $100 in materials. About 4 hours from material store to finished product. About 2.5 hours to.cut gate, grind and weld in place.

Thank you!

OK - I just realized that you did the insert, and didn't build the entire gate. In that case, I would agree that $700 to $1000 would be a reasonable estimate.
