Wildlife Blue Heron

Post by levesquea »

I took a photograph of a Blue Heron that comes to the lake every morning. I decided to make one in 16 Gauge metal.
The size i made it is 30 inches

Thank you all for the kind comments. I used different color acrylic paints in a layered technique( the overall base color was light grey) Then I applied some darker grey and then some blue ....i used some small brush strokes of white and then i used a short hair brush a bit more stiff to blend the colors and to give it some depth and shading. its a technique that I use frequently in woodworking with stains.

** I attached a dxf file with all the parts of the Heron to be cut and layered.
