Well,
it seems like I'm on a bit of a roll again. A buddy's girlfriend is a big Seattle Seahawks fan ... so for Christmas we've made her a piece of metal art.
The disk is 16" across.... As with other pieces I've posted, all of the parts have been powder coated and the drawing(s) are labelled according to color.
** of note, the center disk can either be done in green or as I've done on this particular piece; silver.
** for those doing powder coating, I've had GREAT results using a sanding disc to bring up the brightness of the raw steel and instead of powder coating it silver, I've merely applied a Gloss Clear with some really cool and dramatic effects. In short, the Clear highlight the swirl marks you make with the sanding disk.
As with the other parts, the aluminum wire crimp pieces glued to the reverse side to run hanging wires from ...
Enjoy !!!

I found the best thing to use when layering is double sided 3 m ( 20 lb) tape. You can get it in the paint department in Home Depot.
