40 inch 35 ton press brake

This is a project that I've been working on for quite a while! I've been collecting parts over the past few years when I find them used for cheap. I have barely any money into this entire machine. I would have made it differently if I bought all of the material new, but I was working with the material that I found available and cheap. I built everything on this machine except for the cylinder, valve, and dies. It's 41" between the uprights, and produces around 35 tons of pressure. I would guess that it weighs around 1,500lbs. It runs on a 220v electric/hydraulic unit. I'll probably be swapping valves out in the future for one that is a little better suited for what I need. I look forward to throwing my bigger punches and dies in, and trying it out on some heavier material. It should definitely pay for itself in the long run! The test bend was just a scrap piece that I had laying around. I'll do more testing this week.

I'll try to get a video in the next few weeks. I need to dial it in a little bit and put my larger tooling in it

Bent some 3/16" today. Only bent 20" with it so far, but it didn't even hesitate. I'm not sure how to upload a video or I would.

What kind of hydraulics did you use? Also how thick is your lamination on most of the brake? I am thinking about designing one for myself but not sure I want to go that small. Looking for something at least 48" wide.
