Pipe and Fitting Custom Conference table

Post by stdave66 »

Not much plasma work here but wanted to share pics of the project. Table is nearly 7' x 12', base is 5" pipe and fittings (pipe is 5/8" wall, concrete lined! per their request), and stainless top with glass over it. That was fun moving those 2 pieces of glass at nearly 6' x 7' each. Lighting in the center logo, underneath, and through the pipe end caps. The customer is a construction company that buries a lot of this pipe. I wish I would have gotten a weight on the whole thing. Customer was super happy.

Nice work. Did you do anything for stand offs for the glass? Hard to tell from photos.

Yes, I just used those clear plastic buttons for support, and so it doesn't slide.

Great looking table. What would you guess it weighs?

Thanks Ben, and BarM. I'm not sure on the weight, but it was a lot. I built it so it could be taken into the conference room in pieces. I may take some time and calculate it sometime.
