Post by JoeyD »

Hey everybody, here is a couple of things I have made in my shop. Machining and welding are my priorities but my plasma table makes things a litlle more fun! I really dig this site! Good Job!

That is very nice work. Can you tell me were you get the dishes for your candle holders or do you make them yourself.

Hey Wrenchhead, I cut out a 4.5" circle. Take 4.5" and mulitply that times 3.14 (pie) and that gives you 14.130". This is how you get your length of the rim you need to cut. I use 16 gauge steel, so then I cut the rim to the correct length and then 1/2" tall. Start by tacking one end of your rim to your circle and then just bend it around and tack it every 1" until you get to the end. There is probably and easier way to do this but this way is pretty fast and turns out pretty good. Good luck!
