Old Hand saws
Not a finished project by any means, but I found these at an estate sale and could not pass them up. They had them marked at $4 each US, and then marked them down 50% off that, so $2 each. couldn't pass them up!
I figured that I would remove the handles and could burn names with rustic features. Maybe wagon wheels, coyote's, deer, trout etc. Then maybe rust them out a little more and put the handles back on and distress them a bit.
My thought is that these would be greatwall hangers in backyard bbq areas or a man cave, or heck a she-shed HAha!! I told the wife that I wanted to find a few of these, and she suggested hitting estate sales, which we did!! one or two turned into seven!! Goooooooooooooooooooooooal!!!
2 bucks each , right?
I am sure most areas in our now modern era have these saws tucked away in the garage that they inherited and will NEVER use.. And that most of the younger generation would not even know what these are!! . So why not put them to a good use, and repurpose a few of them was my thought!
also, I would like to find one of those two man saws but they are harder to find and usually demand a premium online. I do have a file which I am pretty sure that I have found here, where I could burn one if needed and could just make a few handles out of some oak round stock or something and distress it for the "look". A six foot two man saw would be awesome!

Doug - nice find! I've got about that many myself - hanging on the pegboard in the wood shop. Mine are in better condition, and occasionally still see some use. I actually also have a 2-man saw out in the tool shed. I can remember when I was kid using it to cut fire wood.

Firewood keeps you warm on many levels before it is put into the fireplace (cutting / dragging / more cutting / splitting / more moving / stacking / loading said fireplace)

Nice find Doug! I would not have passed those up either for $2 each. Look forward to seeing them completed

For sure.
I get a lot of inspiration from the Mrs. I show her something and she almost always improves on it. I think I will start on something for her first with one of these saws, then move on to something else with the other (6).
My home shop is just for fun, but it has paid for iself with work from friends and friends of friends. I will likely give these saws away as gifts and such. I have a few daughters still at home and have made their friends who graduate (middle school and high school) things that they like at my daughters beckoning. ie. wall hangers of "21 pilots" which is a 2 dude rock band that the girls in my house dig, and their friends too)
When invited to a get together, I usually bring a house warming gift made from my table if I have time and really like them (lol!) . CNC plasma cut pieces are usually the most personable gifts receive in my circle of friends. Most bring Amazon and store bought items, which anyone can get. Which reminds that me she wants me to do a monogram for a surprise 10 year anniversary party for this upcoming weekend (only a few days from now) yikes!!
I actually only wanted(1) or (2) saws to make something for my back yard smoker kitchen area that the Mrs would like, which is set in a rustic theme. But fo just $2 clams each was a no brainer for me
