Command CNC Settings question

Post by OTHill » Thu Oct 19, 2023 6:00 pm

Can someone explain in practical terms what to use this screen for and how to use it. I'm probably not getting optimum use out of my system.

No idea, but it looks like a toolbox. Those settings should all be in SheetCam and carry over in the gcode. Not sure how you would call up a preset tool in your gcode.

In your sheetcam does the toolset look the same. It should it you "load' the toolset. I know if you create custom tools and such in sheetcam and then you load this toolset it will wipe those out and bring it all back to default.

I assumed commandcnc and sheetcam used different toolset formats. Didn't think you could interchange them.

I should clarify a little. I'm trying to get my HT 45xp dialed in for less leadin/leadout divots. I keep having to go back to SC to make minor changes and than I see this screen in Commandcnc and wonder if I can't make the changes there. It allows me to change numbers but not to save. That's what makes me wonder why it's there?

That screen is for standard G code that comes from another CAM program that doesnt use a CommandCNC post processor only.
