Everlast 205SI

Post by xtremist »

i have a buddy thats looking at maybe buying an everlast 250si which i believe is a plasma cutter/stick and tig welder combo. i dont have any experience with these machines as ive always run miller and hypertherm but i told him that id see if i could find some info on it for him. so what are the pros and cons of these machines ? he just wants it for occasional use not an everyday thing...

thanks guys

Well I had one of the older ones the 250 tig, plasma, stick. Worked just fine but the plasma option reduced the duty cycle. so I sold it and bought a Hypertherm plasma and the Everlast 250 EX to have Tig (better duty cycle) well they came out with a digital unit the PowerTig 255EXT so I sold the 250 Ex. They all worked just great so go for it, but having separate units is a better option.
