loop corners

Post by mhogan1994 » Tue Oct 12, 2021 9:17 am

we got a shop sabre table in and my boss wants to use loop corners for sharp edges. is there a rule of thumb for how big the loop diameter should be in relation to the material or voltage? I'm unfamiliar with the loop corer in general, thank you in advance for any help.

what is the X and Y axis acceleration?

it is a function of 2 x [ feedrate / 60 x 0.6 ] ^2 / acceleration

ie
2 X [400 ipm / 60 x 0.6 ]^2 / 116 inch/s/s
minimum 0.276 inch diameter.
you can make it larger... as it will make the motion smoother

I appreciate the help on that the o0nly other issue I'm having now is when coming out of the loop the torch takes a small dip into the material it doesn't crash it just dips below the cut height before it adjusts back to the proper Height. is there another setting i should look at?

lock the torch height for the loops, same as small arcs and circles less than 1" in dia
