Star Lab Torch Mount Options

Post by bwmetalworks »

Do all star lab tables only have the magnet torch mount or is there a fixed mount option?

I am not sure but it sure would not be too difficult to make it a solid mount I would think.

All Star Lab Plasma machines have a Magnetic breakaway with a Collision sensor and travel limit sensor for + and - on the Z axis. If you have any play in your mount we recommend using a 7/32" allen wrench and loosening the 4 back set screws from outside the mount and tighten finger tight. Then to lock the screws in run another 3/8-16 set screw behind the existing 90 degree black set screw. On older Star Lab machines this wasnt done. On all new machines this is done and it locks the adjusters but not permanently locking them. If you want to permanently lock your torch you can use 2 3/8-16 allen bolts to bolt the out magnetic mount to the Z axis back plate.
