Newbiy's diy 4x4 table -Hobby Plaz 1000

Post by bob49 »

Here is my 4x4 table, It is a diy gantry and controler kit made by 757 customs, It's called a Hobby Plaz 1000. It came with controler and computer, gantry and wiring. the rest is my own design. I added a logitrol jog pendent. the kit was 2,000 bucks which was a great deal. All you need is a monitor, keyboard and plasma cutter, and build a table. It comes loaded with sheetcam and mach3. Check them out at 757 customs.com. hope you guys approve of my design. Bob

Looks good! I would add 1 thing to it, a small plate of steel to block sparks from hitting your computer, just as a deflector. It only takes 1 spark to make a mess of things..

i thought i shielded it pretty well. top is way bigger than footprint of computer and cutting side is 100% blocked, but you are right only one spark will bring things to a halt.
