Another Small Plasma Table

Postby msimpson99 » Wed Mar 21, 2018 10:34 pm

It's been a while since I posted here. Way back I posted about my small KRMx02 plasma conversion.

This machine has worked very well for making small parts, but I started a new bit of experiments called the CNC Construction Set. These were all about using common parts to build a couple different CNC machines.

My first is a plasma cutter. The first prototypes will have a 12" x 24" cutting envelope. The size will increase as new builds are added.

Here are my very first cuts on the CNC Construction Set plasma cutter. Please note, that I don't yer have a THC or even a initial height sensor attached to the machine.

I just added the new table to the build.

This gives me full access to the full 13"x25" cutting area for this build.

I created this Bent Steel Project box to test my little plasma cutter build.

I did a full writeup here:

It is not a tutorial as this is my very first finger pressed project box and need a lot more seat time to get it perfect. It was a nice test for the machine however.
