That's a great job!

If you've found a good source for the clockworks, please start a thread. There are lots of them out there and I'd prefer to to step up a notch when I get around to making some clocks.

The clock works are the basic kind I found at Hobby Lobby. Runs off of the single AA battery, and the clock in the photo is 15 inches diameter. Thanks for all the comments...now I have to make a few to sell. Bob.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but the term "fine cut consumables" is something trade marked by Hypertherm. Thermal Dynamics makes 20 and 30 amp tips (as well as the 40 amp) and I use all three on occasion. The 20 amp tip and slower speed allow me to get kerf widths about 1/16th inch and smaller, but the clock was cut with a 40 amp tip at 100 IPM. The kerf width was acceptable, but if you look close you can see the pierces, i.e., "divots" I call them. Bob.

Bob, I have a Hypertherm PowerMax 1000 & the fine cut consumables are 40 amp but they are not the same as the 40 amp standard nozzle. They have a totally different design and require a different shield. I'm sure if Jim Colt sees this post he can give a more detailed explanation of them.
