Advice needed on how to approach cutting this please...

I'm having trouble deciding the best way to go about cutting this sign.
Unsure whether it should be double pieces eg a backing to attach it to so the dropouts can be welded back in...

Or should it have bridges and be done single sided?

Or what do you guys suggest?

It would depend on the sign size, but I think a layered sign would be easier. Here is how you could bridge it it you wanted. Not complete but with a better image it would be better.

I also think that would look better on a backing plate rather than bridged in one piece. Maybe spaced off the backing plate a little as well would look good.

Here's my stab at it.

On the last layered sign, i ended up using small neodymium magnets to hold the layers and boy, did that open up possibilities!

Oh wow! You guys are so awesome. That is way more than I expected, thank you very much.
I've been on a lot of different forums for all sorts of hobbies but this forum totally stands out for having the most friendly, helpful members. I don't think I've seen a heated conversation anywhere on this forum.
