Velox Z axis home switch

Post by kn612 »

Has anyone added a limit switch for z home on a velox z axis? There are a couple threaded holes and a milled out spot that looks like where one was intended to go?

You don't really need a switch on the upper travel. The switch you have would be your home. It trips when the torch touches the material. Then it should retract a bit and zero the Z.

Yeah for mach, it's easy to zero or home wherever. Going to qtplasmac. Have to have home switches on the axis. Went and 3d printed a mount for the z

That's pretty slick. A 3d printer sure would be nice to have!
