Proma 150 THC

Post by alanmccabe »

Hi all, I have it installed and controlling the Z axis in test mode. Any tips on how to select the correct voltage to set it to.
With the THC enabled and a cut in progress I am pressing the down button on the THC to get the Z height down to approx 1.5mm does this seem right or is there a better way.

I realise some folk dont care more for this unit and I was thinking of changing it to something better if I get a good recommendation. Thinking of the PriceCNC unit to be a possible replacement.

Thanks Alan

Here is a video I made showing the process for setting up a THC. You can download and use the Hypertherm manual for ball park setting, but you will need to put the time in to get where you want to be with your table and electronics.
I'm not sure the Price unit can be bought anymore. I have used 2 and they worked great, as shown in the video.

Thanks I seen the price one on ebay so hopefully I can get my hands on one. The proma seems very finicky but thats probably just my lack of knowledge
