Cover for exhaust vent in bloody cold weather??

Post by tony506 »

Looking for some ideas on the end of the exhaust vent for my extractor fan.
I live in Canada and it sure does get some cold here at times. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or recommendations for a cover over the my plasma cam extractor fan pipe, where it exits the building. Something that allows the exhaust to escape when cutting, but then closes to prevent the cold air from coming back in.
Something like the vent cover used on a clothes dryer vent, but larger for an 8in pipe.
Thanks

Shutter or Backdraft damper is what you want to look for.
