Thanks for the cool file. When I try to open it in draftsight it looks funny. Any ideas why it is doing this?

Re: Love you to the Moon and Back
Yeah, file is filled with some nasty splines. File conversions have some funny interpretations. I had major issues with this file in solidworks as well, so I cleaned it up and re-saved with polylines instead of splines. Saved as R14 autocad format. See if this helps

Re: Love you to the Moon and Back
Did you download the file that Hemichargersrt8 attached? If you scroll up a few posts on this page, you should find it. It opened up fine for me in TM cad and autocad 07. It's alot cleaner than the orig.mikes grills wrote:Ive tried opening the file to edit the size and all I get is spotty parts of the drawing . Is it saved in ASCI2000? Try this svg file, dxf's can sometimes be troublesome.BRMW wrote:Anyone have any luck with this file in inkscape? Ive opened both options posted and both are distorted. Thanks!

Re: Love you to the Moon and Back
Really like this and would love to cut it for my grand daughters. For some reason, my Inkscape distorts the DXF when I load it. The bottom edge of the moon is flattened and a few other areas are not like they should be.
Any chance someone could covert the dxf to svg and let me see if that helps? Or if someone knows what I can try to get Inkscape to open it correctly, I would try that too.
Please disregard. Just saw where someone had already encountered the dxf issues and posted the svg file.
Thanks! Works fine now.

Re: Love you to the Moon and Back
I’ve been seeing a lot of files from here being shared on the Langmuir website. Sadly, this is one of them.

Re: Love you to the Moon and Back
I know there are several members of the Langmuir forum who are also plasmaspider ones and I don't know how (or if) Langmuir moderates the fileshare section (I don't think they do, it was something of a disorganized mess last time I looked). They should just pop a pic and a cross-link over to here so people can find out where they got it and provide attribution as well. That way their folks can still see the stuff that folks here are so generous in sharing but they would need to abide by PS rules on getting & sharing the files. I'm going to post a suggestion on their forum and see what comes of it.
I PMed the OP of this to see if he's the same one who posted it over on the Langmuir forum before I raise a fuss though. Don't want to step on someone's alter ego
