Perhaps not all the members are into making fire pits or BBQs. Speaking for myself, I enjoy using my BBQ more then I would making one. Which reminds me, I must go and check the 18# ham that's on the spit right now! :D :D :D

I know, I'm just giving everyone a hard time  Anyone have any ideas for a different pit or something added to one and I'll build the file and share it?

Door design for a smoker fire box.
There would be 1/4x1 band iron around the perimeter and a similar flange on the firebox from 1/4x2 flatbar made to fit inside. designed for an insulated firebox.
the draft valve would be a flat plate inside with a bolt through to the outside in the center slot and bolts from outside in the outer two slots, with a handle to loosen the bolt in the center then slide the valve up or down to control draft.
You'll have to design your own hinges...
I put my BBQ Team name on the door too in cutout lettering.

This isn't a fire pit but more of a chiminea . The tiki was graciously posted on here by a member and after I cut it out it just happened to fit on a 100lb tank .Traced pattern ,added some material and presto one tiki . Door in back allows for filling with combustibles.

Here are a couple of pits that I did a wile back. The Tarter one was for a memorial for a co-racer that was kill in a sprint car accident and the other for my grandson that races in the street stock division at the local tracks. The other 2 are just some that I liked. Because of the file size I had to zip them all. If you cannot open them ( I think I did It right ) I can post PCM files.

We love Bluegrass Music. Here is a pit that I want to build to take to festivals to pick around. The guitar body is the grill.

I welcome any ideas or input from the pros! Should I do cutouts or just broken outlines? :D

I found some open polylines in the guitar and mandolin. I have fixed them and plan to cut it out this weekend. Will post pics. I agree Larry about the cutouts.

Here's my contribution. Made this for my gas grill. Made one for my brother in law as well.
Should have made the lines on the logo's wider as grease/ food particles tend to build up and plug them.
