Washington State Table Owners

Post by jim8014 »

I have 4 sheets of 5086 1/2 thick aluminum, 48 x 144. I need about 350 inches of cut on each sheet and about 16 pierces. I am not real concerned with edge quality, I can clean up with a router. Would just as soon give money to one of you guys.
PM me if interested will, know this week if I get the job.

Thanks

Jim

Really? I'm surprised to hear that--I looked at the 1250 manuals, they say 37 IPM cut speed at 80A on 1/2" AL....seems fairly reasonable to me. :)

But then again, I'm just assuming....I have a Powermax 45, which wouldn't do the job too well I'm sure.

My 1250 is very capable of doing the job. However - (always a however isn't there) my electrical circuit is not up to it. I can, and have cut small jobs using 1/2" but pushing it for any length of time trips the breaker. Sure wish I could Jim. Give Mikey a call.
