Harley Windshield Trim

Post by dwhittington »

This was made for my 2012 Electra Guide, but I'm sure it will fit alot of other models. I made my out of 1/8 plywood and painted it Orange and the names in Blue (U of F Colors) then clear with UV protectant. Makes it one of a kind. These will cost you $40 or more from the dealer, so add your on flair for your one off.

I made it for my 2012 Electra Glide, however I'm pretty sure ALL the touring models within a few years are the same. Cut a blank to check fit before adding detail, thats what i did

Great idea..that is cool. I have a Road King with a detachable windshild, and have friends with them, as well, so this will be a popular project. Thanks for the share!

These are the trim on my saddle bags and then the matching windshield trim which I replaced with the flag trim. I will post the file for the flag trim as soon as I find the floppy disk and transfer it to a more modern storage media.

DOUBLE FLAME American flag windshield trim.dxf
Here is the American flag double flame windshield Image. Roll this to fit windshield contour and the bolt holes should line up. Double check that distance for your application. With rubber washers between windshield and image, It should sit about 1/4" off the shield.

Sweet, that could be a great item at swap meets! I will be sure to cut one of those and hang it with my parts collection. I have a complete set of 03 Gold Key derby covers in a shadow box. The rest of the bike got totaled  I worked at the Harley plant in York PA for 8 years, before they laid the place off!!
