error writing data?

Post by kbenz »

I get this on large complex pieces.

I convert to polyarc
reduce nodes. (started at .05 went up to 5.0)
connect path .010
when I create toolpath I get this 3-4 times and it only gives partial toolpathes

error writing data
insufficient memory
fill path to complex

can anyone help me?

I had a few similar issues with some dxfs i imported that had single lines.. what i found was the ones in question had no start point.. you have to make sure you give them a start point otherwise it can try to run them into another part or not accept them at all..Maybe when you reduced the nodes it got ride of the node that was set as the start point

I have also found that things with single lines must be done at cut on line or it will not do a cut path on single lines due to not having room inside the piece for the torch offset.. So there really is no good way to do mechanical pieces that require accurate hole with any kind of art that has single line cuts ..i ussuslly have to figure my offsets for the hole out manually then just do the piece as cut on line
