UCCNC and THC re-zeros tool hight randomly

Post by Specnaz »

So I've been cutting with this plasma for a while and finally got the THC to work too, now what happens at the end of some random cut the torch dives down despite program telling it to go to 0.2" to Pierce height and is it does dive down it sets new Z (say if its in a cutout hole the tip jams itself in and rezeros itself there) Not sure why or how would it be possible to rezero itself with no command to do so?
program is attached

Can you post a video of this happening? Does it happen often or just randomly once in a while?

where is your z axis limit and home switch, at the top of the z axis or at the bottom of the z axis?

Hi, I don't have the limit/home switches , only floating head one, but it being triggered doesn't set 0 it would retract as set in M203 Macro if M203 is used

I didn't use M31 in the G code posted , I use M203 instead now to touch the surface after moving to next contour

Here are both attached from Plasma profile in UCCNC , yes you're correct in the original code posted they were in, i usually make gcode on my desktop, then put it on usb , bring it to the plasma controller laptop, load the file and manually delete M31's , which I did in this case too, you can see at the beginning of the video there is a gap in the line, that's usually where I delete M31's
