Small Deer DXF Design
i wanted to see if anyone had a deer design that could be used in a side of a firepit they would be willing to share. i have an Aunt who is wanting one for her daughter but i can not find anything that i can scale down to fit the side of a 16 inch high by 30 inch diameter fire pit. the diameter isn't the problem, it is scaling down to fit the 16 inch high and keeping the design from falling to pieces? any help would be appreciated.

Re: help
There are many deer scenes here on this site that will work. Simply open in inkscape and delete the details and keep the outline. deleting and scaling down is a snap with that program. If you haven't had the time to learn it since joining this forum, there are a ton of videos here to do those very basic tasks. Free program and free videos to learn. Can't beat that, right?kreaves wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:23 pm i wanted to see if anyone had a deer design that could be used in a side of a firepit they would be willing to share. i have an Aunt who is wanting one for her daughter but i can not find anything that i can scale down to fit the side of a 16 inch high by 30 inch diameter fire pit. the diameter isn't the problem, it is scaling down to fit the 16 inch high and keeping the design from falling to pieces? any help would be appreciated.
That's what I love about this place. It is a great place to learn about this stuff..

Re: help
I found these going through only (5) of (65) pages after typing "deer" in the search box in the "file sharing" section
I am not sure exactly what you are looking for, but any of these deer can be cut out and the rest disposed of relatively easily, modified and resized as mentioned above. Also, the details can be removed as you mentioned above in your request.

Re: help
You can downsize then remove some detail to keep them together! I took the Buck & Doe here and cut them out of .25" steel around 2.75" tall for a customers 3pt plot planter gusset! His welds NOT mine! They would work nice (with a little editing) around 8" tall for a fire pit!kreaves wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:23 pm i wanted to see if anyone had a deer design that could be used in a side of a firepit they would be willing to share. i have an Aunt who is wanting one for her daughter but i can not find anything that i can scale down to fit the side of a 16 inch high by 30 inch diameter fire pit. the diameter isn't the problem, it is scaling down to fit the 16 inch high and keeping the design from falling to pieces? any help would be appreciated.
With some of the "tinspark" links you can always bridge the border and leave "some" of the detail lines in the body for the flames to show through!
Play around with some scrap and see what you get!
