uccnc and hyperther torch lag.

Post by Foxmartin1 »

i am retrofitting a table with uccnc temporarily while i wait for a conversion kit from langmuir, and im having an issue where the machine will start moving before the torch fires. it is almost like the software isnt able to communicate with the hypertherm fast enough to have it stop the blowback cycle to start a new cutting cycle. has anyone delt with this before? i will work to upload pictures of my settings as well as my gcode on my test file here in a little bit.

Curious to see your setting, can likely resolve this with delays.

I have used UCCNC software with a UC400ETH board without a problem. They claim you can use Mach3 software with it but I did have a problem doing that. Are you using the Post Processor for the UCCNC software controller?? The one I use is a Post Processor for the Price THC with ohmic sensor option.

can you post the gcode?

uccnc has THC and arcok integration.

if THC is enabled the torch will wait for arcok before either G4 delay or motion starts

uccnc is actually very capable of plasma.... it's a pity development has nearly stopped. (yes a big update keep getting promised, but it's turned into a bit of a mach3 type cash cow ... just selling licences and hardware no development)
