Will the pipe cutter add-on allow you to cut angle and square tube? or only round tube/pipe?

From what I can tell from their video, this is for round tube/pipe only. I have the same setup with my Plasmacam pipe cutter. It will move in the X and Z direction, but Y is translated to rotation - so in general this setup is intended for round pipe only. Here is a video of mine in action.

A good THC should allow square tube processing if the Z axis has the velocity and acceleration to cope with the height changes.

This is really only practical with either a 4 axis machine or 3 axis plus rotary indexer. Here is an example of the latter.

The pipe cutter attachment uses a belt to turn the pipe, so it will only do round pipe. Having a 3/4 jaw chuck would allow for complex shape rotation but they also cost quite a bit more.
