Rock grapple for compact tractor

Post by schmaus »

I drew this years ago. I cut one so I know it works. I used a diverter valve and cylinder from Surplus Center. there is a 50" wide model that is nested on a 4x4 sheet and a 60" model that takes a 4x8 sheet. I used 3/8" AR 400 plate. I would up it to 1/2" if you use standard hot rolled plate. assebly needs some round tube and square tube to finish.

Here are the hydraulic parts I used. the valve is mounted to the tractor to switch the bucket rotate to close the grapple when you press a button to energize the valve.

I do have one picture but I have never resized a picture before so it may take a little while.

Here's an easy way to resize a picture, just load it into PAINT then click on the HOME tab and near the left side you will see the resize option. You can resize by percentage or by pixels, after you get it to the size you want click on FILE and do a SAVE AS so you will still have the original picture also. :D :D :D

the mounts I made where for John Deere quick attach bucket. It could be easily adapted to skid steer quick attach. I don't have one to reference from.
