Harley Davidson firepit

Post by DXF »

Cut this out of 14 gage. Designing a removable grill out of 14 gage stainless steel. Assembly takes (92) stainless steel button head screws and nuts. Amazingly all the holes lined up perfectly!

It probably will warp. Thought the bends might stiffen it up some. I'll find out when I burn it in.

Looks great, I thought it could double as a cradle as well.

Had the same thought......or maybe a jack stand for Harleys.....a planter......or a light fixture over a pool table?

That is AWESOME!! Great design. Love the bolts. Are they carriage bolts, or button head cap screws?

Sharing a Harlee D logo on this forum should never happen. Frankly, I'm surprised this entire thread hasn't been deleted by the Admin.

This is your very first post, which means the rules for joining should be pretty fresh... copyrighted logos are not supposed to be shared on this forum ever.

I was informed by the Administrator some time back that you can post pics but not dxf files. Almost everything shared on this forum has been copied. I have seen tons of copyrighted dxf files shared on this forum......Batman, Superman, Chevy logos, Ford logos etc. I will not share Harley logo dxf files.

That looks awesome. I realize this is an old post but I'd love to see what it looks like after some heavy use.

This is a prototype. I won't be able to answer that question until Harley Davidson approves it. Wish I could sell them as hundreds of Harleys cruise thru here on the weekends to ride: http://www.421thesnake.com/

In general, a firepit this size that is personalized for someone, no Harley emblem just a design... price?

With a simple design cut out probably $250-$400+ depending on the design. It would be cut out of .187"-.250" and welded. I very rarely do custom jobs so I'm not real sure on the price.....just guessing. I'm using this one to stack bags of trash in at the moment.

Thanks. I work in a plate mill and can buy plate for 10 cents a pound. So it should be easy to make some money off these. Thanks again
