Re: Walking target
There is a Paintball range that might be interested in these. Thanks for the ideas and the file.
The paintballs might not knock them over, but the range could sell a lot of ammo and CO2 letting them try!
I'm curious how much these are selling for in different parts of the country.

I have some 1/2" 500. I will stretch the slots for the half inch. I'll let you know how a 7.62 works on it.

Re: Walking target
There is a guy on Ebay selling them for 20 bucks, welded and painted. You also gotta pay the shipping. There's also a guy on Pirate selling them, but I never found out how much he want's for them.

Re: Walking targets
I did some research last night on different target companies and materials, etc. One guy has a patent pending on a walker that is similar in concept, but quite a bit different in design. I don't know if any of you priced out AR500 steel, but all I can say is holy sh!t...guess it's A36 for me.

Re: Walking targets
I cut some walkers out today, welded them up and took them to the neighborhood poker game. A couple of the guys were interested in some. I used 1/8" steel, thinking it would be good for a pellet gun, but it's too heavy. I should have used 14 ga. or something.

I made one from 16 gauge and a .22 short "walked" it but just a couple of shots on the same side bent it slightly, especially a hit in the neck. 16ga probably would be good for pellet guns too.

I have some interest in people wanting to buy some of these, but I am a little nervous about liability. Is anyone else a little nervous about things like this?

That's an understatement! Just understand that the trailer park is for adults and don't post ANYTHING that you are not 100% sure about because someone will call you out on it.ronsii wrote: but I gotta warn you it is a pretty rough crowd don't go over there without thick skin

Jumping JACKS...you decide how to make them JUMP... I have worked all day on installing an new updated THC interface and PCI card--Thanks ShopSabre--and can't wait till the morning to cut em out, stick em up and shoot em down...I thought of enlarging & making some distinctive ends silhouettes with some AR 5/8 plate I have since the smallest caliber I own is a .223 WSSM...I was thinking of naming each: the Oblamo, the Expolosie, the dirty Harry and the E-Manual...my bad...the IRS is knocking at the door...gotta goAnotherDano wrote:Make a display that describes them as yard art or dog-chain keeper.minnfatz wrote:I have some interest in people wanting to buy some of these, but I am a little nervous about liability.
