China cutting plasma cnc machine issues

Post by tiago cordeiro »

Hello I bought a cnc plasma cutting table in china, and I am having some problems in cutting quality. And their assistance is weak.
My biggest problem, I think it is not being able to keep the arc stable. I am new to this subject.
My cut is conical. In attachment I leave a link with my equipment, I hope some help me.

Many things come into play, thickness of the metal and using the correct amps, nozzle size, air pressure, cutting height, and cutting speed.
Your THC has a sensitivity adjustment if it is set to low it may not react to waves in the metal, and to high the torch will rapidly move up/down when cutting.
You should make many straight test cuts about 8" long and very the setting to find what give you the best cutting conditions.
When you say conical cuts are you saying it has a taper shape, either bigger at the top or bottom?

My problem is in keeping the bow steady throughout the cut. My torch walks up and down.
I have performed tests on a 10 mm plate, with air pressure of 06 mpa, speed between 500 and 1000 mm / min, amps between 100 and 130, set between 120 and 140, I am using a nozzle of 2.2 mm
The problem and that the arc never reaches the set arc.

For that thickness why are you using 100 to 130 amps. you should be able to cut it with about 65 amps at 1000mm/min.

What would be the ideal air pressure for these amps?
. At the starting point I'm using 5 mm, and a delay of 1.5 seconds. Will be little delay
What would be the ideal arc set for this cut? 100?

by doing the test I talked about above you will find out what is the voltage for your system.
I have a Hypertherm and use the book setting I have no idea what your plasma from China should be.
Keep a log of your finding and repeat for different thickness of metal, it may take a little time but you will be able to have the setting for later use.
