post issue

Post by kbenz »

I had to install sheetcam on a new computer. I used the post processor per Luke at CandCNC. torch comes down, touches the ohmic sensor, goes up .150 then goes another .250" roughly, then pierces, lowers some (but not to the specified cut height) and cuts. on holes it never lowers to the cut height at all (.375" hole) switch offset is 0 in sheetcam and .060 in mach

I have had the problem check this location when selecting the post processor, first load the processor and exit to the main screen in sheetcam and then go back to the post processor. You will see the box with "set custom post options" click on it then in the switch offset box put a value of 0.001 and click OK. that will fix that for you. if it has 0.00 it will offset the 0.250"

If you have two cuts close together the post won't bother to reference the torch between the cuts. Refdistance controls the maximum distance for this. Note the distance is the total cut + rapid move distance.
