Hello, I'm wanting to convert my dad's company logo to cut. I want to surprise him with it for Father's Day. Any help or advice would be appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Help needed to convert
There are ways to do what you want but it will take time and using both inkscape and Paint programs. This has been posted some time back. RDJ357 made a video on how to use Paint to trace parts of the image it is great as you can separate out different sections of the drawing and then in Inkscape you can convert to DXF or SVG for cutting. I would make different files for different colors or objects in your image in Inkscape and that way you can paint them and then assemble in a layered finished project.
The attached images show how by selecting different objects in the image and sliding the tolerance bar (top center) so you can break the image apart. This will be a great learning experience for you. RDJ explains these details in his video. Aslo you can have many copies of Inkscape open at the same time to copy and paste separate parts/sections of the image to one page to create a single file for cutting. Thr node tool in Inkscape is also handy to break lines to separate objects in a group into single objects. Have fun.
