Nice. Good use of technology. I have programmed systems like this on robot cells before. But the cameras were very large and high price.

Looking forward to seeing this one on my table.

Can we leave the Hypertherm torch on the gantry with this unit running?

Capstone - Thank you for the heads up on my spelling! I don't know what was going on that day; clearly spelling was not it. Also thank you for the Screen shot!!!

Brew Worx - you will be able to leave the torch on the gantry in a modified position.

Little blue choo - don't quote me on this. The projected price is around $250 to $300.

I will be calling tomorrow. Can't wait! I love my 9600. I haven't even used the router, plate marker or tube cutter yet and I'm ready to order another toy. Lord help me.

I'll be ordering mine in a couple of weeks. Save one for me Drossmaker. Love my 1200 table and still haven't tried all the potential gadgets that came with it.

I just received my auto tracer yesterday and had a chance to play with it, very impressed......... Took a little bit to tune it in due to the fact that my table is a precision plasma, it's torch mount in a different way 1/2hr later and new torch mount.

On to the install very simple, the installation/set-up video was very well done.

Have not had to use it yet but I know it's coming

Has anyone tried the Auto Tracer on a Plasma Cam table?

The Auto Tracer is not compatible with the Plasmacam table/controller. Although I have a Plasmacam DHC2 table, I am using the Scanything auto tracer on my Avid CNC router table which uses Mach3 as the control software. You can read more about it here.

LightBurn has an excellent trace feature. The software is designed for lasers but the trace feature alone is worth the $80 license. I use DesignEdge and LightBurn daily for creating files for my laser and plasma. Both will export to dxf. https://lightburnsoftware.com

Sorry for the confusion. We are talking about an Auto Tracer- that is a camera attached to the cnc carriage that follows an edge of a template or other object to trace out the part and convert to a dxf file, not an auto trace of an existing image file such as can be preformed by Design Edge, InkScape, LightBurn, etc. Please follow the link I posted for a better explanation.

By the way, I paid $40 for my license.

I find that both LightBurn and Inkscape have excellent, easy to use, and quick auto tracing capability. I use both with pretty much comparable results.
