Having issues cutting Stainless... Jim/ Ross Help!

Post by SSLLC »

So I took it upon myself to try cutting some 20GA stainless to go on a boat trailer side rails with boats name on it. My issue is the pilot arc lights then goes out. I have moved and cleaned my ground twice and took tip off and inspected. Appears fine. I am using 45amp fine cut tip unshielded. Everything set per manual and about 30% under IPM from owners manual. I have never cut stainless before on a plasma table. With that being said I could be making a simple mistake that Im not aware of. Other info - powermax 65 @ 40 amps, 45 amp unshielded fine cut tip, pierce .08 cut .02 delay .1 and feed rate 160. @Ross and Cindy - This machine is awesome very pleased with it!
