Sharing a market - ideas.

Post by AnotherDano »

A chance encounter led to a market and I want to share the wealth, so to speak.
Perhaps others will add more ----

The Coach of the girls golf team( Univ/Wyoming) kept my card and contacted me a year after I'd bumped into her. They wanted Tee-markers for the team to install on the courses/tournaments they visit. They had some that were getting old, and some had 'grown feet'.

The University logo (Trademarked) was cut and a 3/8" x 12" spike spot welded onto the back, then powder coated. The figure is 11" from hat to hoof, cut from 14ga cold rolled steel. The head of the 'nail' was lopped off, and the remainder extends from the riders butt down the leg of the horse, past the hoof about 6". I'll post pictures as soon as I get my camera close to my 'spare'. The rest have been delivered.

She'd shown it around and the Booster Club latched onto the thing for their tourneys. Then the Manager of the local golf course found out about them. 18 holes, two per hole with a couple of extras, times three sets. I've been busy!

Go out there and find your Golf Teams!

Here is what they are replacing

Looks good. I might have to try and drum up some business with something like those.

Got to thinking about the box of nail neads that I'd created making these things. Not being one to waste good metal, this is the result;

Nothing exciting or ground breaking, but might sell a few.
