Price Check

Post by KIDTech »

What would something like this go for in your area, it is three pieces all 16 ga. The outside pieces with the cutouts for the name, etc will be black and the middle will be red. They are going to be layered so the letters will read and it can be read from either direction. I was going to pop rivet it together too to make it easier powder coating wise. I am in the $150 range personally but would like to know what you think.

Details: 16 ga, about 20 min. computer time, not sure about the time it took to cut maybe 20 minutes, 2 color powdercoating

I assume you're using SheetCAM. You can pull a report on the total amount of inches cut and number of pierces. Do a search on this forum for Plasma Price Worksheet and use the spreadsheet to get a rough idea of where these items would retail. I think you're pretty close for the pricing, depending on the finish time. I'm learning that selling to another business, consider the "value" of the customized item to their business as well in the long term and the fact that the piece should last forever, so it's an investment in their ability to create more business as well so don't sell yourself short and be sure to tell your customer that.

Powder coated and assembled, I would be in the area of $375. Of course I don't do my own powder coating.

rather than pop rivets try 3m double sided tape they have it at home depot 5#,10# and 20# works great out side and it's a lot easier to use.

It is much more attractive as well. My vote is the tape.

I would also be about $150. i usually use little #4 stainless bolts and i put a #6 nut in between each piece i like how it pops and its not metal on metal.
