Plasmacam Water table

Post by jkarell »

Ok, checked all over the net with little luck. I built a pyramid shaped downdraft under my plasmacam, but it sucks too much heat out of my shop. Has anyone built a water table for a plasmacam? I know it will have to be 6-10" below the slats, but my idea was to use the water to absorb some of the dust and run a small downdraft exhaust for the remaining dust. Any ideas? thanks for the help!

I thought about that with my Samson table and it looked like it would be easier to build a water table ,and bolt my rails
to it instead of trying to add to the factory table.

i'm trying to address the same problem here ... decided to add a heat exchange to the supply side of the vent system. i plan on incorporating the plasma cutter and computer into the system so that they both get clean cool air from outside. that air will then be ducted above the table to supply the downdraft with warmer air. helping all that is the curtain wall system around the table ... should almost create a closed loop system. at least thats the plan right now.
