Where to attach plate wire on ohmic

Post by djreiswig »

I'm getting ready to put ohmic (CandCNC Feathertouch) on my Bulltear table. It says to mount the module close to the torch. Can I attach the plate wire to the gantry, or do I need to run a wire down to the slats?

I connected mine to the back side of the z-axis and it works great. I was originally going to connect it to the floating head plate, but I had 4 ohms between the floating head and the slats. I checked the z-axis body and found it was 0.1 ohms from the body to the slats.

It all depends on your construction. Just make sure you have good continuity between where you connect it and the slats.

Got it. Check with an ohm meter. Thanks.
